Veolia Port Botany Topping Slab Repatriation Works
Lucan Engineering was involved in the repatriation works of a suspended slab at Port Botany Transfer Station. The 250 square metre topping slab process involved:
- Scabbling the existing slab.
- Drilling holes for starter bars, installing SL82 mesh.
- Concrete pumping and the concrete pour.
- The works also involved the replacement of the steel pit edge to allow for it to meet level with the new slab.
- The process was completed in three stages, allowing the waste facility to continue operation during the construction process.
