Lucan Engineering has an extensive in house manufacturing facility including a full machine shop combining, CNC and manual machine tools, a separate metal cutting, bending fabrication shop as well as a large assembly warehouse.
This in house manufacturing facility supports the internal processing of components for all Lucan Engineering’s projects.
Manufacturing
In addition to project works, this manufacturing facility is also utilised for jobbing work. Much of the workflow through Lucan’s manufacturing facility is the component processing of small order quantities. This can range from a single component order up to much larger batch orders.
Lucan Engineering does not discriminate on the quantity of the job. We are equally happy manufacturing small or large component order quantities.
Tool-making
Lucan Engineering can provide Tool Making services and are proficient in the development, design and manufacture of jigs, fixtures, robot grippers and extrusion dies.
Machinery and Equipment
- Lathes with a turning capability up to 6000mm long with 1150mm swing.
- Turning diameter dimensions: Over Bed - 1150mm x 6000mm, Over Carriage - 850mm x 6000mm, In Bridge 1400mm x 450mm.
- CNC lath with a 450 swing and 750 between centers. Milling machining centers and conventional Milling machine with a capacity of 2000mm X axis, 1000mm Y axis and 800mm Z axis.
- Surface grinding 1000mm X 600mm.
- Cylindrical grinding up to 3M long X 350mm Dia.
- Water cutting. Profile cutting almost any material up to 100mm thick with a 2400 X 1200 working area.
- Guillotine up to 6mm plate 3000 long.
- Break Press 165 Ton 4000m long.
- Hydraulic Press 450 Ton.
- Pan break folders.
- Welders, Mig, Tig MMa arc welding, plasma cutting and metal spraying.
- Pipe rollers and Benders.
- Plate rollers.
- Tool and Cutter grinders.
- Tee slot fabrication Jig tables.
